Pastor Garrett Smith was born in Spain in 1988, his father was an officer in the United States Marine Corps. So Pastor Garrett moved all over the U.S. and other countries until he went to Texas A&M where he received a degree in History, Gig‘em. He also met his wife Szende, (pronounced just like Cindy) there, she was working on her Master’s in Public Policy. But before they were married, he went to his first year at the seminary in St. Louis. After a very long year Pastor Garrett and Szende were married in College Station in 2011. After another 4 long years of seminary and vicarage, in 2015, Pastor Garrett received his Masters of Divinity and received his first call to Christ Loebau. He and Szende live in Bastrop and have a daughter named Emese. Yolanda, Szende ‘s mom lives with them, and keeps them in line. They also have a number of animals that they love which includes: a dog, and many fish tanks.
